She Shape

She makes me think

of all the agitated patterns

that the sea leaves in the sand

the augmenting trail-trees

dragged west from the shore

She makes me remember

the panoramic riverbed

macrocosmic landscape

where I’d watch cavorting sticklebacks

submerged and undisturbed

She makes me feel

like I’m lying in the undergrowth

the sky’s sighs fluctuate the rhubarb-roof

vast leaf eyelids nictitating

sun scintillating, glancing through

She makes me wish

for an oar disturbed surface

where ripple lily tapestries

sway and reassemble

halcyon reform

And she makes me recall

the lattices of winter

the crystal carpet settles and the water marbleises

and I succumb to glaciation
